Gosh, I don't know whether there is a difference as both use the same 16.5 mm gauge and ties have been made in different dimensions. I would think that they would be interchangeable as long as the top of rail height is consistent from brand to brand (you can alway shim under thinner track to bring it up to the height of taller track).
As a fellow user of Imgur, one suggestion I have for future posts would be as follows. First, while creating or replying to a post, open Imgur simultaneously and then left click on the photo you want to include in your post. Once selected, a number of options will appear on the right side of the screen next to your photo. Go down to the last option labeled "Linked BBCode (message boards)" and click on "Copy." Return to the MR Forum page and press "Ctrl V" to insert the photo in your post. The url address will appear as you continue to compose your post/reply but the photo will automatically appear once you submit your post/reply. See below.
Before you continue to type your post/reply, press the space bar twice after inserting your photo. This will avoid seeing underlined blue text after the photo.
Welcome to the Forum!!!
Hornblower
Hi All,
Sorry if something like this question has been posted before.
I have a mix of track that has been accumulated over the years, Hornby, Peco, Lifeline, Bachman. I can identify these by the names on the back of the track. I also have a fair bit of track that I cannot Identify. (please see attached image) other than the place of manufacture, the only identifying feature appears to be in the way of some dots - two dots for curves and three dots for straight (straight length is 230mm not 167mm like Peco/Hornby).
Unlike the Hornby/Peco track I have, the straight rail runs along the sleepers without a place to insert a connector for powering the track.
Thank you in advance for your response(s).
