sgtbob Matt, John, and Sheldon, thanks for all your help, much appreciated. Sheldon, I tried that link and got 2288 hits in 115 issues of 32 magazines. It was a little boring to go through all those hits but since I knew the magazine was Model Railroader I could skip through it quickly. The point is that I finally did get the hit I needed and then went to the archives of MR right here and got the article I wanted. THANKS. Bob

Glad it worked for you. If you click on the advanced search option, you can search just one publication....

sgtbob Hello, I am new here and I have a question about using the site. I can get to the archive section showing all the Model Railroader magazines. In the old archive you could key in a subject word and it would give you a list of all the issues that talked about that subject. I do not see a way to do this in this archive. Can anyon help me? thanks, Bob

Welcome to the forums, Bob. Your first posts are moderated and may not appear right away, but after you post several times, things will be better.
I also don't know the answer, but check back -- I'm sure someone knows.

Returning to model railroading after 40 years and taking unconscionable liberties with the SP&S, Northern Pacific and Great Northern roads in the '40s and '50s.
