Walthers GP 35 announcement
Posted by JDawg on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 2:04 PM

Walthers has just announced they are going a run of GP 35's. Ironically I have been looking for a GP 35 in GN livery and walthers happens to be be doing one! Is anyone else planning to get one? They have Norfolk and Western, Santa Fe, GN, GM&O, Southern, Southern Pacific and two undecorated models.

I might be excited if they did a CNJ SD35...And man, no PRR, NYC or UP models (huge numbers of fans) in the GP35 announcement  - What am I missing...

I am somewhat interested.

As I stated in the GEEP thread, the GP-35 is my favorite. I might be in for a pair.

Not sure what I would do with them. I left 1968 behind for 1954 two decades ago.

The GP35 has always been one of my favorites, sort of a stumpy brutish looking road loco. It would fit with my shortline hand me down theme.

They should have the LokSound V5 if you're into Sound, and that's a better decoder than their previous run (I think it had the Select/V4).

I have enough locos, but I may get one. The SOUTHERN High Hood version will sell out fast most likely.

The model is  Phase 1c and not a lot of railroads had them.
