some small parts in a bag

See what I mean, "some small parts in a bag" See my earler post "OK, I took a look on line and several reviewers mentioned a parts bag then never mentioned it again, so you can throw it in the trash." For Pete's sake, if yer gonna mention a parts bag, say whats in it and where they go.

Actually, what the post said was "some small parts in a bag and a very detailed instruction booklet." Did the instruction booklet come with the car? I would assume the answer is there. If not, check with Rapido.

I agree, but, in my second quote, above, you can contact Rapido for some clarification as to exactly what is/was in that bag.  I wouldn't be surprised if he not only gave you an explanation, but also one of those parts bags.

Here's a couple of quotes from another post:

S Hawkins
I just picked up a Rapido Steam Generator Car that I have had on order it seems forever. I opened the box and read the instructions and am amazed with the detail and complexity and number of parts pictured in the center page of the instruction booklet. It comes with Steam Fluid , a black wand and some small parts in a bag and a very detailed instruction booklet.

Rapido
As always, if anyone has any trouble with a Rapido product, they just need to give us a call. We stock a full line of replacement parts and we will repair or replace anything that is not up to scratch - free of charge. Best regards, Jason

OK, I took a look on line and several reviewers mentioned a parts bag then never mentioned it again, so you can throw it in the trash. Seriously, you should have gotten an exploded diagram showing all the parts. If you didn't get one, contact Rapido. That should tell you what they are and where they go. It's all in the grand old model railroading tradition of "Read the instructions when you've tried everything else and are desperate" Big Smile

Quite often they tell you what they are for in the manual that comes with the engine.

An engine may have changed its appearance over the years and it is nice they include the parts so you can make those changes.
