You might investigate some N scale dimensional data sets with the intent of harvesting some ones to use.  I don't recall ever seeing a car with ' and " marks in the dimensional data!

It seems that the NP had that series of hoppers with them. Check out the link in my original post and zoom in on the bottom of the two right hand panels of the dimensional data.

You might be able to add them using a very fine brush with some white paint.
An easier, but equally fiddly operation, would be be to cut suitably-sized bits of white decal from an otherwise un-needed sheet.
Cut off a thin slice of the white decal equal to the height of those marks, then use your X-Acto to chop it into individual bits of a suitable width.

If you have only a half-dozen (or-so) cars to do, it shouldn't be too overwhelming a task.

I only have the one car but I don't think have steady enough hands to try to pull either idea off.

The "quote marks" denote feet and inches.  You might be able to add them using a very fine brush with some white paint.

Little Timmy

I know microscale makes them.

Check their web page. Look for dimentional data .

I have worked quite extensively with Microscale data sheets and I have not seen a single one with the quote marks. Just the 10-6 as previously mentioned.

You may want to reach out to Bill Brillinger at www.pdc.ca/ as he makes custom decals and I'm sure he has data sets. He's made all of my private railroad decals.

Decal Detail Locating Assistance
Posted by FRRYKid on Saturday, June 11, 2022 2:41 AM

Got yet another one for my Forum friends. Does anybody have a good idea for a decal that would have the information located on the two right hand dimensional data panels in this picture: http://www.railgoat.railfan.net/photos/otherrail/np/np073678_ron_hawkins.jpg

I am relettering a decorated car that had them in the wrong place and have been unable to find a suitable replacement. All the sets I have seen have the traditional  10-8 rather than the 10'-8" that are shown in the photo. I have found decals that can fill the left hand panels but not the right.

As usual any assistance that can be provided would be most appreciated.
