This is so cool.  It's been more than 24 hours since the last request, and I caught that fact.  I can now post something new and actually be able to participate in the Show Me thread for the first time ever! Big Smile

It is only the access road to the yard office but it does count as a crossing:

The Erie Northshore has water towers at Lowbanks...

...and also at Elfrida...

Both from Atlas, and both with replacement spouts from Grandt Line.

The Grand Valley has a water tower in Dunnville, with separate standpipes (from Tichy) at both ends of town...

...and a similar set-up at South Cayuga...

...with stand pipes at both ends of town, even though it's far from finished.

Park Head, on the partial upper level, uses this water tower, scratchbuilt by my father in the mid-'50s, using both balsa supports and scribed basswood for the tower....

The tank banding is paper, and the spout is made from brass tubing, cut and then soldered to create the taper.
A couple of years ago, I replaced the tower's support system using Evergreen strip styrene,  along with Tichy phosphor-bronze wire as stays, with Tichy nut/bolt/washer details.
While Park Head is currently non-existant, I'll eventually add a separate Tichy standpipe at the north end of the double track through town, and plant the water tower near the south end of town.

In Mount Forest, the northern-most town on the partial upper level, there's another scratchbuilt water tower

...along with standpipes just south of the coaling tower...

Wayne

More water towers or other support systems for your trains please.

EDIT: My apology for appearing to go off-topic, but I'm currently experiencing frozen screen syndrome - don't know if it's my computer or this particular site.

Hi Wayne.  I was just talking to Kevin about it in the diner.  No it's not just your computer.  The site has been freezing up on me frequently for the last couple weeks.  Sometimes worse than others.  Not happening on eBay or anywhere else I browse.

While I'm here, Excellent modeling across-the-board here.  Love that scratch Water Tower as well.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programSmile, Wink & Grin
