That sounds like my AFIB saga. I had one shock treatment which lasted about a day. Then i went in for ablation surgery, which lasted for a couple of years, but eventually i was back in AFIB again. It was that surgery which put me on the pacemaker.
The AFIB condition never caused any discomfort, and my cardiologist now says I'm probably fine to live with it.
The fluid around the heart problem can be taken care of with diuretics. But, don't take them at night or you'll find yourself up in the "wee" hours of the morning!
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Yes I am still interested in the photos you have of the Ho CP SD40F,If you can post some photos for me that would be great? Sorry for the long reply been super busy latley.
Sorry for being late. I was traveling last week.
I downloaded an image from Bowser and scaled the image to the dimension in powerpoint. In powerpoint, I choose the paper as US letter (in Design tab, slide size). To scale the image, I draw a horizontal line that is 1.375" long in powerpoint. I then rescale the image so that the width of the body matches this line. I printed from powerpoint (choose without fitting the paper). It was slightly larger so I reduced the size in powerpoint a little bit then printed again. It matched what what I measured now.
I can either send you the file I have (the image quality is not high though), or I can work with you.
Again, sorry for the delay. I will be traveling again next week...
Jerry
Sorry, i was quite busy during the week. I will try to see what I can do...

Rats! I had one of those things go by right in front of me on the ex-IC a couple of days ago... and did not take pictures or video.
If I weren't on furosemide, I'd have gone west a couple of years ago... very nearly did before finally getting in to see a cardiologist. Had to have a witch-doctor ICD installed due to poor response to anesthesia -- it paces below 40bpm 'just in case' but it took 'em a little programming to keep from shocking me every couple of minutes if I got a bit too stressed. (That was no fun at all!) You're not alone, and many of us understand to be able to sympathize.
I may need a little help here I printed the nose of the Ho CP SD40-2F I tried to narrow it down. On my printer I can change the paper size from full page photo.to wallet size But after I printe dthe photo the nose part came out 1 inch 7/8"s so that is too big.Jerry if you can scan the nose a rear end of the CP Ho SD40-2F to the size you said it was,In your reply to my topic. That would be helpful if you can get a front shot of the nose and window and the rear of the engine for me,Its hard trying to get the size just right to print.I get the photos to samll or to big.
I had a pacemaker put in 4 years ago. Fortunately, a new cardiologist showed up last year who is also an electrphysiologist, so he is better able to deal with getting the pacemaker adjusted properly. Other than the blood thinner, I'm off all the heart meds they had me on.
Learn about you heart meds. In the long term, many of them have unpleasant side effects, so you should watch for them and keep your doctors informed.
Thanks for the meaurements Jerry the frame I have is a Rail Power Products the farme measures,9 inches and 3/4".The width of the frame is 1 inch wondering what Ho CP SD40-2F will fit my frame? I will start on my project today wish me luck.
MetrolinkFan, I hope you can recover soon.
I have a Bowser SD40-2F and just meausred for you. The lengh of the loco 9 and 5/16" without coupler. The width of nose and the back is acutally the same, at 1 and 3/8". You can see a dent behind the cab. The depth is about 1/8" into the body at the end of the cab and smoothly goes to the outside at a distance of 1 and 7/8". Hopefully this can help.
Best wishes for a healthy return to normal, Tim!
Regards, Ed
