I found it on Model Train Stuff.
I wasn't sure if it was the correct model because the only picture they have is the rear view.

Living the dream.
Ya it's HO, it's been in their flyer and their YouTube channel 'new product express' video preview for March 2022....

It's design appears to be the same as the N-scale enginehouse kit they've offered for some time. It's pretty common for Walthers to offer an N-scale version of a successful HO kit, or vice-versa....

It seems to me the kit was offered in HO at one time, but not sure how far back?
The Trainworld link shows HO. I've also ordered from them and had no problem. A couple of times I ordered on Wednesday evening and got my order delivered the next afternoon in the Boston burbs.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
There are other retailers besides Walthers. Trainworld has it available for preorder at $51.99. I've preordered from TW and the process is seemless.

I tried looking that kit up on the Walthers web site. At that price point, it seems to be only offered in N scale. I would not take their web site as gospel, particularly as it is a new product, but be aware if you're modeling HO.

I knew about Mt. Rainier and would have recognized it if it was in the picture as I climbed it about 30 years ago.

That building alongside with the angled walls looks neat. Probably a craneway that has been sheathed. Perhaps a car shop?

Looks very similar to the Walthers Machine Shop which I've had on my layout since it was released. There are enough differences that indicate it's probably a new kit but I wouldn't be surprised if there are sprues that are common to both kits. It's not unusual to see that done.
Not sure but it looks like a re-issue to me. This is my favorite Walthers diesel engine house shown below. Bayway Terminal NJ
Nice looking. May get one. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. That would have been my guess. It looked too urban to be Harlowtown or Othello, and Deer Lodge and Avery would have had mountains in the background.
Kevin, call and ask. Walthers has done it different ways at different times in my experience.

OK, I decided to pull the trigger and purchase this model.
According to the Walthers shopping cart, it will not be available for about three weeks.
There are also several sale items in my cart.
Does anyone know how this works? Will they ship the in-stock items now? Will they wait until the whole order is in stock? Will there be an additional shipping charge for the enginehouse?
I looked for a page with backorder policies on the Walthers site, but did not find anything.
Interesting looking building.

SeeYou190In the latest Walthers Flyer there is an announcement of a new enginehouse model. This looks like it will be perfect in a spot where I was planning to use a converted structure made from a Walthers Cornerstone Machine Shop.
That's a nice -looking structure, but it would have been useful for me if they had released it about 30 years ago. That would have saved me the trouble of dismantling my Vollmer three stall roundhouse, because as-is, it wouldn't have fit onto the available real estate near where I had planted a scratchbuilt turntable...

This is a near-perfect industrial looking building.

The linked photo shows Milwaukee Road electrics in the enginehouse. I wonder where the prototype was located.
It looks like the engine house of the Providence and Worcester maintenance building in Worcester Massachusetts. Maybe a little longer. Nice looking kit.

The announcement says it is a new structure.
Can someone confirm that this is all (or mainly) new tooling. I have been very impressed with newer Walthers Cornerstone models, but I also know they sometimes release an older model with a new name.
Thanks for any information.
