Need to show this to one of my kids.  They love to skateboard and trains.  Never knew you could combine them.

Yes, I could certainly lay down on a motorized surfboard (did you mean skateboard)

Nope, I meant surfboard.  If you put wheels on one there certainly should be room enough to lay down.  Outriggers are optional.

Would a motorized surfboard work?  You could lay down on that.

Hi maxman,

Yes, I could certainly lay down on a motorized surfboard (did you mean skateboard). That is if it was big enough and could carry my weight, and then there is the issue of me getting up again. That might require some assistive devices, like for example a couple of heavy duty cranes (not HO scale by the way)!Smile, Wink & GrinLaughLaughLaugh

Cheers!!

Thanks for the laugh!

In my case the operative word would be 'breaks', as in every bone in my body! These days, thanks to my back and my neuropathy, I can barely manage to stay upright regardless of what I am standing on, including in my bare feet on a hard floor! I used to enjoy getting a bit drunk (okay, a lot drunk). Now I stagger all over the place without having to drink a single thing! Saves a lot of money!

LOLLL omg I need one of these....

I actually do have an electric skateboard for commute, theyre really fun, although dangerous.

On one hand, you have working breaks, but on the other, you're standing on a board going 20 mph with 3 inches wheels...

Do those come in Cascade Green with two flat cars and MT knuckle couplers Brent?  If so, I'd like to order the set, so Judy and CC can come along.

I haven't skateboarded in 55 years but if I could find one like that, I might give it a try again................and break my fool neck.

I was thinking the same thing.  It sure looks like fun.  But I'd end up giving new meaning to the phrase "dead rail."

Our planned community here has about 1000 homes and several miles of paved pathways, besides sidewalks.  They quickly realized that anything motorized was a hazard on the trails and foot bridges, which are comfortable for two across but no more.  So, motorized skateboards and motorized bicycles, in addition to golf carts and motorcycles, are prohibited on the trails.

I've been considering adding power to my longboard for a few years now for longer commuting but this a whole new level and I'm now inspired.  I can imagine rolling into the chicago loop on this.
