Thank you all for the inputs. It was fun that mixes our life and what we like. I appreciate all the inputs. Our family decides to get two kittens.... my sons are so excited. I will let you know what I get. But it may take a while.
Thank you all again!

Track fiddlerThe kind of rare laughter where the juice comes out your nose and turns into a coughing fit mixed with the laughter.
Sorry! But TF, your layout is amazing. I am actually wondering what the cat would think about what he/she was seeing. Also, is your layout N scale? The cat looks very big....
SouthPennwe had a squirrel trapped in the basement for three days with my train layout. It's hard to describe the damage so use your imagination.
OMG.... So no squirrel for sure...
We don't have any cats, but we had a squirrel trapped in the basement for three days with my train layout. It's hard to describe the damage so use your imagination.
The squirrel was smarter than the professional animal trapper. That's why it took three days.
No cats, no problem. My wife is allergic, and our Weimaraners are not cat friendly.
Good morning

You are very welcome, John. Glad it was helpful. I would agree it's a bit easier to accomplish on a laptop vs a cell phone.

Tom, many thanks for the suggestion! This is a good one. I didn't know or think about this before....
Track fiddlerIt's a Blue Scottish Fold cat. And you're right, there ain't no cuter when they're kittens.
TF, he is so cute... I like him and his mom...

Pauley, it seems this becomes another dimension of fun of mrr.
Steven Otte shouldn't have to say that advocating cruelty to animals is not allowed on this Forum, even in a "humorous" way. But it seems I must. Don't do it.
Apologize. But at least the cute kitten's mom is a GP15-1... Thanks!
Hi Tom
tstage Track fiddler Respectfully stating for those who don't use a phone to post. Doing multiple quotes in one post using a phone doesn't work. Unless someone knows how it does work, I'd certainly like to know. I've been trying to figure that one out for 5 years. TF It's not difficult, TF, but it can be tedious - especially if you are posting from your phone, which I had not considered when I originally made the suggestion to hjQi. Thanks for pointing that out. If you want to add a 2nd (or additional) quote(s) to your reply: Open a new tab in your browser and go to the thread/post you want to quote from Click the reply button at the bottom of the post Click "Add quote to your Post" to place the quoted material into your reply text field Highlight and copy the ENTIRE quote - i.e. BOTH [bracketed quotes] and everything in between Paste the additional quote into the reply you are going to post AFTER your first quoted reply Edit out any portion or parts of the quote that you do not want/need to include Add any additional comments after the LAST bracketed quote Click Sumit Your Reply to post on thread Repeat Steps 1-8 for each additional quote you add to your reply. Let me know if that's clear for you, TF... Tom

Doing a test using your set of directions as reference trying to get two quotes in one post. I had looked this over for quite a while last night but was just too tired to tackle it.
tstage TF, I'm trying to write out a how-to for adding additional quotes to a post but the forum software keeps giving me the "403 Forbidden" error message. I'll keep trying... Tom
TF,
I'm trying to write out a how-to for adding additional quotes to a post but the forum software keeps giving me the "403 Forbidden" error message. I'll keep trying...
I hate when that 403 Forbidden happens, especially when it takes some time putting together text with pictures and can't post it. Thanks for hanging in there last night to help me out.
It took me a while to do this. Have had a smartphone over 10 years and never knew you could highlight in blue with your finger on the screen like you can with the mouse on a computer. It was doable but not easy to do as the text slides in the prepare post screen. I then figured out you have to hold the screen with one finger to keep it from moving and highlight with the other finger
I've actually only had this Google update where you can put two tabs in one screen for a few months now and haven't really known how to use it.
When I came back to the first tab with the second tab quote to copy paste the first tab quote flashed, then disappeared and I had to put that one back. Maybe it'll get a little easier using it more. All the other stuff posting from a phone was difficult at first but got easier later on.
Maybe you can teach an old dinosaur new tricks

I'm a little late to this one. It's kind of a fun subject since it's one I've been dealing with for a year.
I'll do anything for my kitty - except allowing her into the train room on her own. It would be like Godzilla in Tokyo. She's sure tried.
Shortly after we got her, I realized she was very resourceful. I changed the door handle (the kind with a handle sticking out one side) to a regular knob (with a lock). I thought there was a possiblity that would jump up and open the door. My wife thought I was over-reacting - until she saw a video of a cat easily doing just that. He didn't even jump - just reached up and opened the door.
When kitty is meowing at the door, I'll sometimes take her up and hold her - until she tries to sneak off my lap. Then it's back downstairs.

Something that recently changed (I think with update to iOS 15.2) is that we can no longer select part of a post to insert as a quote. It is then as tedious as ever to delete all the text and spaces to leave just the relevant context.
This brings back evil memories of the e-mail reflector days, where we'd get people who had not turned off appending the thread history doing the polite little Alphonse and Gaston thank-you responses... EACH with the whole prior thread appended. I would sometimes have digests of considerable size that were 99% unthinking history, only to find the actual new post content no more than a string of thank-yous.
Thanks Tom
I'm going to have to check that out soon. Appreciated

Jerry,
Just a suggestion: To keep your quoted replies compact, you might try quoting & replying to several folks in one post rather in separate posts. It also makes it easier to scan the thread for readers who are interested in the topic.
Again, just a suggestion...

Very much so. Our year-old Maine Coon-mix is about 20 pounds right now and still growing. Sweetest-natured cat we've ever had, too: he's basically a feline Golden Retriever.
