I actually put together a Rix switch stand on a turnout driven by a Tortoise.  It was the turnout on the carfloat apron.  The Tortoise was controlled with a stationary decoder from my DCC throttle.

Because of the oddball installation, I had to tinker with the mechanism a bit, but it did work.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Using Rix Switch Stand with servos?

Southern Idaho is a wasteland for Model Railroad supplies which means everything must be ordered via the internet.  Shipping will be okay if ordering in quantity but very expensive if just ordering a couple to try.  Thus, I have to rely extensively on the experience and advice of others...

I would like to add inexpensive switch stands to my Atlas turnouts operated with servos.  Any one have experience using the Rix switch stand with turnouts operated by servos?  May be possible to throw the turnout and operate the Rix switch stand with the servo.

Any one have experience with the Central Valley Switch Stand 1604 (package of six stationary for just over a dollar each)?  I'm not a prototype modeler so might be an option for a stationary stand.
