I think Stix is right. Bev-Bel and CM Shops made short runs of paint schemes that Athearn didn't. When they sold out they would move on to another batch of cars.

My memory is that Bev-Bel just bought undecorated kits from Athearn and then decorated and sold them; I don't think Athearn was otherwise involved. At the time, Athearn, MDC, Con-Cor and other manufacturers' painting and lettering weren't all that well done, and Bev-Bel (and other companies) stepped in.
I don't know that anyone has ever compiled a complete listing of what all Bev-Bel produced, but an old thread in the forum did have a link to HO Seeker who had some listings (under "Bev-Bel Information").

I'm looking for an index to the cars Athearn produced/sold by Bev-Bel. I'm specifically looking for a passengercar list both Heavy Weights & Streamlined in the following roadnames; ACL, FEC, Seaboard & Southern. Does anybody have a link or website they could share?
