Yet another one for my Forum friends. Through an Internet auction, I picked up an old Herald King bicentennial generic decal set (https://www.ebay.com/itm/224744669835?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649). I had been thinking about doing a bicentennial engine for my 70s era layout. As the design for the engine is still a bit in flux, I am thinking that I want to have some decals located for when the design is settled. I'm thinking about adding some white (which are onhand from another project) and red stripes as well as the blue included in the set. Possibly I might put the roadname on the engine. As a result, I would need extra lettering. Does anybody know/remember what shade of blue the numbers are? I'm debating between Microscale blue or dark blue for the lettering.
Second, are the stripes scale 4" on that set? Just eyeballing the set, it looks like it. (I haven't got the physical set yet as I just ordered it a few days ago.)
Yes, once I get the set, it will get at least one coat of Microscale decal film. (I do that to any decal set I get, no matter what it's age especially on stripes.)
