Just received the latest issue of MR, although I read it as soon as it appeared on the web site.
On the cover, and featured this month, is the club were I learned much of what I know about this hobby as a young teen.
I was a member from 1971 until the mid 1980's when living a bit father away, and rasing a young family made serious participation more difficult. Since then I have stopped by on occasion to see what's going on. But with COVID it has now likely been 5-6 years since I was there.
So, those of you who still look at MR, in print or online, this is my idea of a good looking model railroad.
As I begin my new layout, it is only fitting that this layout once again be recognized for its outstanding scenery and lasting presence in the hobby.
And, as you read the article you will note the layout is still DC powered......
And, I own a string of those C&A hopper cars mentioned in the article......
