Hello everyone, and welcome to a new weekend!
This week I have nothing new to share, so I am going to post a favorite picture of mine. This is my Bachmann/Spectrum consolidation on a short steel bridge.
OK, that is enough to get us started for this week.

For a change of pace...
In 2007, Noteworthy model builder and contributor to Scale Auto Enthusiast and other publications, Ken Hamilton hosted a "Kruize" in 1/87 scale. This was on the now defunct 'The Model Builders" forum. If you wanted to participate, you sent as few or many vehicles as you wanted, but they had to be something you built or modified.
That forum is long gone, but I had the good sense to copy and paste every word of the narritive, and every picture posed in it to my computer. I think I could find a link to a site where he has it navailable, but I'd have to do some searching.
Anyway, I sent these:
Ken Hamilton photo. He also took this one on the diorama he made for the event, the figures I sent. The event drew 28 participants, from all over the US and some from Canada. Chester Fesmire and Junior Berg were among them if you have ever heard of them. Kens imagination took off with it and made it really look like a real car show-cruise with contests, prizes, everthing a show has, including a cruise of some of the vehicles on a famous model railroad! It was so cool! I think about it when I see these vehicles I sent. Dan I WAS THERE! -was the slogan of the event.

Southgate 2 Great looking vehicles and the scene is exquisite.
Not much from me as preparing for Christmas has been high on the list.

Kevin, thanks for starting us out, great picture no wonder it is one of your favorites, can't wait for you to get back to modeling again.
Southgate, nice collection of vehicles and a neat little scene.
David, your pictures always have something new to see in them, thanks for posting.
I did not post last week what with visitors and trying to schedule my wife a trip to California to help out with the one year old grandchild who got pneumonia, so I am left batching it this week.
I managed to get my workbench moved and stuff installed as I had to finish the car I was making for our Club Christmas gift exchange, so here is the new workbench with most items now installed.
Now I have completed the car for the Club gift exchange and here it is a 60' Atlas ACF boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and Silver Paints then lettered with Oddballs Decals. The MP had a couple of hundred of these cars in auto parts service for GM and Chrysler Plants.
And like Kevin I am posting one of my favorite pictures taken at the Strongsville Model Railroad Club. A pair of Athearn GP40-2's with an auto parts train consisting of Coil Flats, 60' and 86' Auto Parts cars, a livelyhood of the DT&I railroad.

I continued work on my PRR "Approach" sign. Don't look for Hambden in any PRR timetables, I made this for my present location and it will go on my little "depot" shed outside whuich is dedicated to garden railroad equipment.

There will occupy the most recent range of my (admittedly loose) modeling era so they will retain some degree of "newness" but will still get a little dust and dirt splashed here and there.

As always thanks for another WPF Kevin. Love the bridge scene and that subtle weather job. How did you achieve the faded translucence of the numbers and letters on the tender, they make it look old
I as well have nothing new to show. Almost done building another bridge but I hit a snag. It's taken a while deciding how to iron it out.
I'll post some old photos as well.
I have a spray booth in the boiler room now, ...Air brush time!

I got my gate finalized this week. I notice a lot of guys use slide bolts. Personally trying to get a slide bolt to line up perfectly can be a pain. Came up with the idea of using magnets. So far they seem to work great.

Dan. Thanks for your kind comments. Clarence Dock has altered a lot since that picture was taken. To the right was some 'generic warehouses' marked as 00 gauge when bought.They never looked correct to what I wanted.
I then found a Company that made backscenes of warehouses typical to Leeds. Just as I remember.
As for framing the picture? I have neve thought of it. I just look at it from time to time on my computer. Maybe I will.
