Thanks for the responses. Like I said in the beginning I had a senior moment and couldn't remember if it ever had a seal. Rick

No "O' rings on my Paasche VL, but my Paasche Model H does have them.

I never liked the air hose that came with my Badger, I use the Harbor Freight 10’ hose. Very flexible and doesn’t hang up on things like the Badger.

My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California Turned 84 in July, aging is definitely not for wimps.
Mine have no seals or gaskets. Both surfaces are polished smooth and plated.
This is the hose connection on my ancient Badger model 150. No seals or anything.
This is the supply hose that came with my "new" Paasche Model H. It has an O ring.

Living the dream.
Thank you. All Badger airbrushes are made the same way and use the same hose.
Mine (model 175 from 30 years ago) does not have one in the female fitting on the hose but I couldn't remember if it used to be there and fell out. I was questioning it because I bought a generic hose to use on a tool and it had an o-ring in it.
My air hose does not have a gasket, but it's a more recent one. The original one that came with my Badget (35 years ago!) had a leak so I replaced it. I'm pretty sure that the original one did not have a gasket either.

Which Badger model? I'm sure you could go to Badger's website and find an exploded diagram of their airbrushes. If not, a general search of the internet could show the answer you are looking for.
My airbrushes (TCP Global, Iwata, Harbor Freight) do not have a gasket/washer on the fitting. The female coupler on the air hose has the gasket/washer.

I am having a senior moment and was hoping someone could help me out.
Is there supposed to be an o-ring or gasket in the fitting where the hose connects to the airbrush?
