Two WPF threads were started simulataneously.
There were contributions in each one.
I asked about combining them .
If not combined it was not a problem.
People could contribute to either one. Nobody said it was a problem having two WPF's.
No forum policies were violated.
Now, I see one was deleted. No explantion. Contributions in it are gone.
That is not right.
Who did that ? ... Why ? ... Trying to get people upset or what ?

EVERYWHERE LOST; WE HUSTLE OUR CABOOSE FOR YOU
Sorry, Garry. I saw two WPFs posted for this weekend and deleted the one with fewer posts; figuring posters could re-post them again, if needed. I would have preferred to have combined the two threads into one but our beloved and aged forum software lost that capability 3 or more years ago.
You are correct that it didn't violate the forum policy. However, in general, it's usually best not to have two identical threads running simultaneously.
Sorry for the abrupt termination of the one thread, Garry. If this should ever happen again I'll be sure to lock the smaller thread and post an explanation in the other thread; allowing a certain amount of time for folks to copy & paste their posts from the locked thread into the unlocked one before deleting it. More than likely though someone is still going to end up getting short-sheeted...

Tom ..... Thanks for getting back to me.
Appology is accepted..... I'm sorry to you if I was too harsh in my response, but it did bother me. I think participants in both threads were aware there were two WPF's and there was not problem. Some guys even joked about it. Both were fun. They really were not identical, and I thought it was okay to let them both continue.
Any how ..... I appreciate all of your work as moderator. So, thanks for all of your efforts. .
Again, thanks for your thoughtful reply in this thread. .
Thanks for your understanding, Garry.
I believe Tom deserves a big round of applause for his continued duties as moderator of this rough & tumble group!
Thank you, Tom!
If I knew how, I would set up a go fund me account in your benefit, redeemable strictly for model railroad goodies, of course!
