KatofanFairly new to the hobby but I am really having fun.
Welcome to the forum!
I have N scale Kato locomotives. I know what you mean about the Kato couplers with other couplers not working well together.
I have not done anything yet, so if you find a good solution, please post it here.
We're always interested in seeing layouts (finished or just starting). Hope you can keep up with us and let us know how your layout progresses.

Katofan I have a few Micro Train rolling stock. I would like to change out a coupler on a dedicated Micro Train rolling stock with a Kato coupler since they do not play well together with the Kato locomotives. Suggestions and input would be very much appreciated.
Since no one said it yet...

As was suggested by Scott, a better approach is to convert the Kato locomotives to Micro-Trains couplers.
Have fun.

Living the dream.
Katofan,
I went in the opposite direction. I converted all of my (well most all, so far) rolling stock and locomotives to Micro-Trains. MT has a large selection of couplers to choose from for converting your fleet, especially locomotives that may need a certain type of mounting or shank. I don't know how many different types of couplers Kato offers.
