Bad email for Trains.com FAQ
Posted by slammin on Thursday, June 10, 2021 3:38 PM

At the bottom of the frequently asked question page there is a place for questions not answered. I copied and pasted the questions@Trains.com address. Type out my question and was told it was a bad address. Will the fun never stop! Since I'm this far along, I was trying to find what happened to David Popp's Ask MRVP. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell they are funneling nearly all their new videos to the global Trains.com experience.  Some have canceled their MRVP and signed up for it and others have just canceled.

What new videos?

I can only guess.

Before I lost MRVP privledges Gerry Leone was talking about a new series: building a new railroad in his new house.  I assume Ask MRVP Cody's Workshop and It's My Railroad have passed to the other side.

I was trying to find what happened to David Popp's Ask MRVP.

As far as I can tell, last episode of Ask MRVP was episode 52, September 15, 2020.

To answer the other questions re: what went to the dark side, I think everyone can access the following link, https://www.trains.com/mrr/videos-photos/?_section=videos-photos

All the items with the little lock symbol require membership to the trains.com thing to view.

Sounds like a good reason to just not bother.

Someone said in another thread here that "The magazine people don't know how to monitise (monitize?) the forums ...".

So here they've found a way to monitize what was previously free and are getting criticized for it.  Guess this proves the point that you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please everyone all of the time.
