Business trains
Posted by NVSRR on Sunday, April 18, 2021 6:04 PM

So how many actually have a model business train?  I have a set of proto E8's, for some reason I have no pic.  And these two painted. 22 is a walthers UP obnservation.  While 21 is a brass dome.  no windows yet.  The cafe, and two coaches are not decaled. probably not til next winter now for that.  Plus the LV decal stripes will get expensive.  They only put 3  pieces at 5 inch long on the sheets.  takes one and a half sheets to do one car.

I started a conrail business train but out of the fleet, only two cars could be done that didnt require major modification. so that didnt get far.   Any body else do a buisness train?

I have several individual business cars:

I find these fit the bill for making interesting movements on both passenger trains and occasionally carried at the rear of freights.

I also have a pair of the Proto Conrail business train E8s that are on the "to-do" list along with some passenger cars that are intended to be made into some of the C-R office cars, this will be a project for a future date.

I have a few Business Cars and a former Super Chief Lounge in my fleet. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of them since our club hasn't had any shows since last February, but I'll look for them later this week.

Due to sharp curves (18" or 22" radius), I cannot accommodate full-length business cars. However, I could not resist this "shorty" beauty.
