Received the March issue today of a British magazine that is bulk-shipped and then remailed from New York State. The content is hardly time-sensitive in these days of the internet.
When I worked for the post office decades ago, reading somebody's mail, particularly a hobby magazine, wasn't worth my job.
Case closed. Both issues arrived today. I raised the question because of some recent threads discussing about moving to electronic copies only.
Thx!
Mark
Usually Trains and MR arrive on the same day, but yesterday it was only Trains. MR perhaps today.
Just the opposite for me, got MR but not Trains. Maybe the Postman wasn't done reading it yet

Back in the late 1960s I belonged to an informal club that worked on a guy's layout once a week -- in the attic of his garage. It was surprisingly spacious. One of the others worked in the local postoffice and knew immediately who I was. He knew of everybody in town who got MR or RMC. He was a bit vague as to whether he himself subscribed but he seemed to know what was in the latest issue. I have a hunch this or that subscriber's issue got delayed by a day or two ..... unconfirmed suspicion of course.

My May issue of Model Railroader arrived on Saturday.
It seems like every month for a year we get one of these threads. It is obviously the fault of the Postal Service.

Mine both arrived Saturday the 3rd.
I got my May issue about a week ago. That's about normal.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Mine arrived Friday but then again I'm right next door to Wisconsin.
I'm kind of like a little Kid when I first get my MR magazine. The first night I slowly page through and look at all the pictures Then I read it bit by bit throughout the rest of the week or two.

So are we getting paper issues of Trains and MR anymore or not??? Neither have arrived yet in the mailbox.
