One other technique you might try would be to print out the photo in a size/format wider than the building front to which you will be adding the photo. Then, instead of placing the photo flat against the interior of the windows, curve the photo so the sides are up near the windows while the center of the photo is set back from the windows. You'll likely need to add interior lighting to see the "back" of the room but the more 3 dimensional look will be worth the effort. This technique also allows you to install flooring and additional interior furniture for an even more convincing look.

I recently did this. The best is to use a program to adjust the size of a JPG file. I found pictures on the Web, saved them on my computer, then used Paint to touch them up. I don't have fancy software on my computer anymore... I then cut and pasted the images into a Word file, and adjusted the size using the mouse (click on the corner of the picture). Using Word made it really easy to adjust the size and print them.

I have a photo editing program (LView) and it lets you size any picture by either pixel size or measurement. Any photo editing software will let you change the size. I usually use a door for height always comes out OK. Mel My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.
If it is on your computer then your printing program should allow you to print to a smaller size.
I take a different direction by looking thru magazines and advertising. I find a surprising amount of material that is suitable..
Having said that, my approach to modelmaking is unorthodox.

To the world you are someone. To someone you are the world
I cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought
You could try bring up the picture and then doing the Ctrl/- and see if gets small enough, or you could save the image, open it with Micrsoft Office, and reduce the % until you think it's right, or try to manipulate the photo with whatever photo thing you use or have on your computer.
Just a couple of thoughts.
