I haven't figured out how to search the archives yet, or if it's possible. The search box in the upper right corner takes you articles that are in trains, and in MR, or other Trains.com resources, and not articles in any archived issue.
Nothing like searching the previous version of the DA, which I thought was a great fix to the original DA.
Reading the mags in the DA is like the format used by MRH.

An interesting question is going to be whether Kalmbach has OCRed the archive page images to make them searchable.
A sort of approximation can be made by going down one item from 'archives' to 'annual index'. This would be both easier and quicker to OCR, although making the items 'click through' to their page in the archive would be a logical '90's improvement.
That is, if you don't need an index earlier than 2006. I could swear that was a feature in earlier years!
We continue to have no community search here. It is of little import other than nuisance because the search-community box is accessible from the Trains and Classic Trains forum pages and return items from MR. But it ought to be a matter of principle to fix it here, just as it should be to actually implement the global post display order preference.
Stage 3 is still coming...
MRVP looks unchanged to me. The Series are all still there and the search function works for me.
No clue about searching the MR archives. I typed in Severna Park (model railroad), figuring there had to be at least a couple articles. I found one video and a reference to a book written by a guy from Severna Park

How do I find things on the new site? Found the archive for example, but how do I search for an author or article? Same with MRVP? I see pages and pages of mixed video links but can't figure out how to find the ones of interest. How do I do a search?
