New loco picked up today

Picked up a new loco today, found a new in the box, Lionel GP20 over in NY at Niagria hobbies. Its in the Milw. Rd paint scheme, but that will change to BN green soon. I need to hunt down the following detail parts, four matching exhaust stacks, winterization hatch, and if its made the Horst ox yoke air filter box that goes behind the stack. That will transform her into BN GP10 #1410. Whats nice is the Milw unit is non dynamic, so instead of having the normal GP20 exhaust fans and single turbo stack, it has twin non turbo stacks and normal GP9 rad fans! Runs well, has only signal sounds, but is upgradeable to full railsounds and comand control. It will get the full railsounds, which I feel for the money has the best GP9 sounds! I have heard the systems from sound traxx sieria, and Phoenix and both just done quite had the growl that a GP9's prime mover has, Lionels system does, I know as I used to run the exact unit I am modeling, the short line had 2 GP9's and 2 GP10's. The GP10's are a rebuilt the the BN had done, short nose, Horst air filter box and four stacks are your external spotting features. I am trying to remember the scale size lionel choose for their large scale, its not quite 1:29 like aristocraft, but I dont think its 1:32nd either. Cheers Mike

Hello LG,
Pretty neat that you were an engineer! Understandable how you can apprecite sound systems. If I'm not mistaken, that sound system Lionel uses is from QSI. Top Notch!
If you don't mind my asking. What method are you going to use to strip the model? What paint brands are you using to refinish?
Cheers and Thanks!
