It was my understanding that the 'new' trains.com will simply replace the old one when it is introduced. Join this one now and you'll automatically go to the new one.
They provided a dry run to 'test the new experience' in some of the early notices. That might have been a 'sandbox' built only to show how some of the appearance and features would look, and might 'stop working' at any time.
Forum 'upgrading' wasn't due to happen until spring (e.g. late March at the earliest); I suspect pandemic-related concerns will push that back somewhat but we've heard nothing to that effect from Kalmbach sources themselves.
Hey Mark, Trains.com isn't online yet. We'll let you know as soon as there is any updates (which are few and far between).

Back before the holidays, there was a lot of promotional work being done on the new Trains.com website. It's exactly what I've been hoping for. I purchase all of my railroad magazines at the newsstand so that they don't get torn up by the post office, but I still want to be able to check out all of the good web content that is available. It doesn't seem like there is a way to join the new site. Am I missing something?
Thanks!!
Mark
