How to make WiThrottle roster entries
Posted by Paul Schulze on Friday, January 15, 2021 10:18 PM

I am using a Digitrax PR4 and DCS50 command station connected to an old PC running Windows 7 and JMRI.  My iPhone app is the full version of WiThrottle.

My problem is that I cannot find a way to add locomotives under the roster tab.   Can someone please help me out with this?

You have to make them in JMRI - add the locos to the roster, then they are available in the WiThrottle app when you select a loco.

I keep my JMRI roster in Dropbox. It has a two-fold advantage. I always have a backup in "the Cloud" so I don't have to be concerned with making backup files and, in my case anyway, any Decoder Pro changes I make in the workshop (Sprogg) test track or out on the layout (DCS 240 USB) will be accessable and saved from both locations.

Anyone who is involved in a club would find it handy since they can access their roster remotely with any PC or smart device.

Good Luck, Ed
