There's one for sale on eBay right now.  It's HO, and the pictures show solid doors.

I think I had one of those in O scale about 60 years ago.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

As I recall, the picture on the box showed clear doors, looking very much like contemporary sliding patio doors.  As I never figured out what this building could possibly have with any part of actual television broadcasting, I never looked to see what was actually in there.

Yes, Plasticville used the same illustration on the boxes for HO, S, and O, but I believe that both the S and O came with clear doors.  I have seen the actual model in one or both of those scales, with the clear doors.

Part of the appeal of those vintage Plasticville models is the fantastic illustrations on the packaging.  The later versions with the photos are nowhere near as much fun.

Plasticville WPLA TV Station - Stylistic Door Variations in Different Scales

As a devotee of mid-century modernism, I had to add this masterpiece to my HO winter mid-century layout.

Over the years, I have seen O and S scale versions of this model that feature clear doors, but the HO version has solid (grey) doors.

Does anyone know if there was an HO variation with clear doors?
