hon30critterDid you make the load in the gondola? It really looks good!
KBCpresidentI agree, very impressive!
The tarped piece of equipment is a Chooch casting. I am not sure the origin of the large crate, but it might be Chooch also.
I spent a lot of time painting the tarp, highlighting and building up shadows in the creases. It is a very good casting, but the "pre-painted" finish in the Chooch package was awful. I wanted it to look like a heavy and worn piece of canvas.
Thank you for the kind words.

Hi Kevin,

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
I have four freight cars lettered for the TURTLE CREEK CENTRAL in the Fleet Of Nonsense.
I know that the Turtle Creek Central has been revisited a number of times (the first how-to-build article, a tutorial on how to paint one of their locomotives and where to get decals, and even a heritage unit.)
The black and red scheme is handsome, the decals and paint are publically avaialble... seems like they are almost inviting people to build their own TCC layouts. Has anyone? Or even featured it as an interchange, or painted their own TCC Power?
