Kevin's Halloween Photo Fun - 2020 Edition
Posted by SeeYou190 on Monday, October 26, 2020 10:17 AM

My favorite holliday is less than a week away, time for the 2020 edition of Halloween Photo Fun.

I am going to confess something here... I completely botched Halloween Photo Fun this year. But hey, it is 2020, everything is going wrong this year.

I competely forgot to make a Halloween picture this year before I took down my model photo studio.

So, I went to the Dollar Tree, bought a few doo-dads, and threw something together in a rush.

I am setting the bar super-low this year.

Everyone please join in. Making a Halloween picture is fun and easy. Maybe we will have some 2020 themed pictures this year.

This is all I have to offer:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I love the ground cover Kevin!! I'll bet that if you put that stuff in a blender it would make pretty good looking fallen leaves.

We haven't done Halloween for several years. There is no sidewalk on our side of the street and we didn't like having the trick or treaters walking on the road. Besides, we only ever got two or three dozen kids anyhow in the last few years that we did offer treats.

Cheers!!

Dave

Kevin, this thread is a neat idea!

I don't have anything strictly Halloween.  The Bates Motel is about as close as I can come.

Happy Halloween, everyone.

SeeYou190
time for the 2020 edition of Halloween Photo Fun.

I thought we might get some more pictures. I'm always interested in unusual and creative things like this that people have on their layouts.

I've always enjoyed Kevin's yearly Halloween photo fun thread.  Thanks for the contributions this yearYes

I don't have a lot of Halloween photos, especially the ones that mix with model railroads.  I post the same one every year and will be guilty of that this year againWhistling

A silly sketch I did about 5 years ago on my perception of Cow CatchersLaugh

The whole time I lived in Prior Lake I put two pumpkins out every Halloween and everybody said I made the scariest pumpkins.  One year I did Stephen King's Cujo pumpkin and actually won a pumpkin carving contest in Savage Minnesota.  I keep having Judy looking for those pumpkin photos.

Maybe one year she'll find them but until then you're stuck with the cow catcherLaugh

POSTER HOGGER!!!

Well since tomorrow is Halloween I might as well waste no time and show you the little Halloween cake I got for Judy hidden in the closet as a surprise for her tomorrow

She likes the little things so I should be good

And one for the Lion who has been a little scarce lately   I think He would like this one so I'll post this one too   Missing you Brother Elias!  Come back prowling through the tall Pullman Green grass soon

But again since this is a Model Railroad Forum I think I should do another Omaha Orange and Pullman Green (I bet Ed knows that color)Whistling which many times looks Black for Halloween, ...Maybe on a Huge Bridge in Bismarck ND none the lessYes

All my Piers are here, a piece of work, ...Beautiful   There's a reason we have a Freemasonry Society

Can you still see it?  It's kind of scary how hard it is to still see with all that hundred year plus Rusty Old Creaky Bronze Colored Steel all weathered in the wayStick out tonguePirateWink

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown right in the middle of the bridgeLaugh

I set up the layout on the drive way, lots of kids (and adults) loved stopping by to see the trains!

That was a great idea.

It's too bad about your church's Christmas train display not taking place.  Hope you can get it going again next year.

We are hoping we can next year.  It is a shame, but at least I got to have some fun Saturday night showing the trains off!

Thank you to everyone that participated in this thread. I could not be much of a part of it because my computer issues at the end of October.

All the fun pictures were very much appreciated. I lover doing this thread every year.

We did not have trick-o-treating at my house for the only time since I moved here 21 years ago. Our house is the must-visit for all the kids in the neighborhood, and even multi-generational in some instances.

This year I put out this sign, and it was so sad.

Geez you even have the "caution tape" going on.  We weren't home, we were up north for 10 days.

I haven't run a train through my hidden track yet, so no gost train this year.

We wanted it to be clear to all the children that we were not paticipating this year.

For about a week afterward, people walking by would tell me how much they missed us this year.

We always make the kids as happy as we possibly can.

We did not have to put any notice up regarding trick or treaters.

Nobody was allowed out unless it was an emergency.

Kevin,

Yeah I feel your pain - Halloween is my favorite holiday. The little kids in the neighborhood had a parade around dusk and we did a socially distanced trick or treat in the street - we then left a table with some treats out on the curb...

Usually we have tombstones and skeletons and caskets etc....nothing this year...

Heres hoping for next fall

Sme here... hoping for a normal 2021.

If I have to go two years without seeing dozens of happy/excited little kids I will be very sad.
