Just a reminder about the GATS in Kansas City this Sat., and Sun. ( 1-15 and 1-16) at the American Royal Complex.

Well mcouvillion, if you feel like driving 5 hrs. you could go to the big train show in Plano (near Dallas) this weekend or drive up to the Arlington GATS on the 4th or 5th. Just a thought.

Not soon, but it will be there in November. You can always drive over to San Antonio and get a fix sooner, as it comes there in April. See the gats website at www.gats.com.

Houston should also be having the annual train show put on by the San Jacinto club in March or April. It's a better show as GATS. You should be able to find info on it at any local hobby shop there in Houston.

Little Rock was supposed to have a GATS but we too got dropped off the list until Feb or March. And you know what? I did not miss it. Had so much fun going to the LHS over the winter. But... 2005 is a new year and I hope that you have a show down there in Houston.

My favorite show is the San Jac Jamboree. I've bought some of my most unique rolling stock there. And I live just 10 minutes from the Humble Civic Center where it has been held for the last few years. I just like the huge variety of the GATS shows. We had two a year several years ago. Since they changed hands, things have gotten kind of cheap. The ads are a lot smaller, the frequency is less, and it just isn't the same.
