I wonder how often the OP checks in.

I saw you never received a response.

Were you able to resolve the problem?

I do not have any experience with the N scale Bachmann model of the class J.

New N Scale Bachmann J Class
Posted by Train Guy 3 on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 2:25 PM

I recently purchase a new Bachmann N scale N&W J class. The lead axle keeps falling out of the truck and the second axle almost wants to fall out. I attempted a repair but have had no such luck. I decided it would be a good idea to stop working for a while and then refocus my attention to it later so that nothing would get broken. Has anyone else had such problems with axles falling out on the N scale Bachmann J’s before? And do you have a repair solution. It’s brand new and it should work flawlessly but then again it is a Bachmann product. I’d rather repair the locomotive myself rather than ship it off for a repair.
