I have a couple of the Bachmann freight cars (a boxcar and a covered hopper) that came with the EOT/FRED factory installed. I'm quite happy with them, work well. You can also buy a pre-wired truck and light to install on your own.

I bought several when they first came out. They have the most realistic flash rate and look great. I have one on a well car, a tank car, a box car and a gon.

I bought from Ring Engineering some years ago and bought the matching truck.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Which of the ring engineering eots would best with the Walthers mainline 40' well cars?

The Walthers page says this car uses 33" wheels, so take your pick of what Ring offers, with 33" wheels and the standard wire length.

The long wire lengths would be used on something like long box cars (auto parts cars) and enclosed auto racks.

For me, it''s Ring Engineering, I have a couple of Athearn Husky Stacks and F89F Twin 45' Flatcars with them.
