Jarrel's Show Me Something for September, 2020
Posted by gmpullman on Monday, August 31, 2020 11:38 PM

Welcome to the SEPTEMBER, 2020

"Show Me Something"

Dedicated to the originator, Jarrell

This is a place where forum members can post their photographs featuring a view of a "requested" scene or object.

If you show the item requested you can then make a new request of your own, or choose to stay with the current request.

After 24 hours, the same rules apply, or you can post a new photo of your choosing and make a new request. Your photos should be of models only, not a "real-life" scene. It's all about having fun! Let's see those photos!

All photographs should be original photographs taken my the person that posts them. If the model work is not your own, please have permission and give credit to the person or group that made the models.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

The last request of August was from G Paine:

Thank you for reviving the Show Me Something thread Ringo. 24 hours without a bridge was unbelievable.

Back to Mr. Muffins Lionel Train Layout in Atlanta, Indiana for this bridge scene:

Kevin: "I will roll the dice with this request... Show me another bridge please."

Its not a railroad bridge... But a bridge none-the-less: The Route 32 Overpass at the southeast end of the BRVRR.

This train on the Atlanta Interlocking Railroaders portable show layout was only three cars long, but I could not get a good photograph of the whole train.

Show me another shorter pike sized passenger train.

Here is a big E unit, seriously, it is O scale, on the SOUTHERN Railroader's O scale "theater in the round" layout. It is on the point of a passenger train.

More of anything that has to do with transporting people by rail.

This is a photo comparing the lighting in LW vs HW passenger cars. The HW car on the right had incandescent lights, represented by yelloglow LEDS. The LW car has fluroescent lighting, represented by blue-white LEDs.

Kevin: "Show me another freight train scene."

Kevin, your photo of the Great American Train Story layout at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry brings back some great memories. There is a photo Essay on my website of our trip in 2008 here:

NYC GP-7 #5809 at the head of the 'Grafton Turn' makes its way westbound.

I wish I would have seen it in 2008. When I was there in 2018 the layout was very dirty/dusty, and some parts had suffered damage.

It is still impressive, and maybe some restoration work has been done.

How about 6 Axle GE Power!

Rule 1: This is my railroad.

Rule 2: I make the rules.

Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!
