Les,

For the future, are you planning additional backdrops; particularly for the "Main Street" USA categories?

Les Mavor

We had several desert scene kits in our old kit format, but they got little attention. If you are interested in seeing what they looked like, best contact us through our web site off-list.

Too bad no desert.  Oh well.

Thanks for asking....fabulous country.

We still have some desert from our discontinued kits. If you contact us off line, I can provide some examples and options.

Les, thank you for your response.

I like your suggestion and am now leaning towards the HJ-42 backdrop and HJ-41 combination for my L-shaped shelf layout. I do plan on having several Walthers Backgound buildings for industrial customers, such as the Commissary Transfer Building (photo) which will be re-purposed as a furniture distributor (boxcars).

My thinking is that the structures and backdrops will complement each other realisitically.

All of the structures in this scene - HS52 in the "Senior" version and HJ42 in the "Junior" version are squared to enable cutting out  and mixing/matching to achieve other street scenes. HJ is better suited for that, and I had a lot of fun doing just that on my own layout. Photos on the web or by request.

Just curious.

Do any of you own Sceniking backdrops? If so, please consider posting photos and sharing info regarding your experience with installation and qualtiy.

Thanks Cool.

It would help if the owner of that thread would fix the headline....reminds me of a tough time in my life.

Better yet -- I deleted that thread. Best wishes on your comeback!

That is good news. I like the #HS-52 Backdrop.

IMHO, in looking at the buildings, that scene would fit nicely as a back drop for a small town themed layout set in any time period from the 1950's -1980's.

I could be mistaken, but it seem to looks good enough to represent the U.S south, southeastern, and midwestern U.S themes.

Looking good.  Do you have any western Colorado or eastern Utah desert scenes?

Sceniking Backdrops to cease production

THAT WAS THEN - THIS IS NOW.

SceniKing is UP AND RUNNING, and filling orders as fast as we can. The old thread about our demise was true back in 2015, but ...... NOW BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!  It would help if the owner of that thread would fix the headline....reminds me of a tough time in my life.
