Afdahl Flats
...I am leary of the quality.

Well, they don't look too bad, but I'd be more concerned by the apparent size.  If the 90mm figure is the height, that's roughly 3.5 inches....not much of a tree in HO scale, but perhaps useful as fill-in for background areas, or maybe in a park.

Some of the trees, in the scene below, are over 100'(HO)...

You can always put such trees in the background.

We use these trees for wargaming all the time because they look good enough, and they are dirt cheap.

The trees shown in the pictures below are probably what I will use to cover a mountainside on my next layout. They were less that 25 cents each on ebay, I have over 400 of them. They will need just a little flock, be cut off short, and then glued to the mountain.

The trees in these pictures look ridiculous from the top and should not be used on a layout, but they are amazing for wargaming fantasy forests. The trees are flat and light neon green on top. Still, less than a quarter each.

If you add a little course ground flock to the tops it might help them a lot.

I do not have pictures of my tall skinny palm trees I have over 1,000 of. Again, wargaming only, but they look pretty good in mass. These were 10 for a dollar and look better than the Woodland Scenics palm trees.

If you need hundreds of trees, or can live with a little less detail, they are an option.

I gave them a shot about four years ago, the quality isn’t too bad but all the trees look the exact same.  I tried tweaking them and it helped but at a distance they all look alike.

Sprinkling them with different shades of ground cover helps a lot.  They do look pretty good as fillers around other trees.

I bought two packages of 40 trees and still have at least 25 still in the package.

Has anyone bought the extremely cheap lots of trees from eBay from brands like evemodel? Do they look alright? I am leary of the quality.
