Trains - Family Tree Posters
Posted by cp7400 on Friday, June 26, 2020 11:31 AM

Hi,

Can someone please tell me if the Trains Family Tree Posters are delivered folded or in a mailing tube. I might frame mine but I don't really want a crease through it.

Thanks,
Roger

From the Kalmbach Hobby Store:

Released by popular demand!

Exclusively from Trains magazine, this poster shows you how North America's seven Class I railroads came to be.

America’s big freight railroad systems have fascinating and complicated histories. In our exclusive family tree, learn how BNSF Railway, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, CSX, Kansas City Southern, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific came to be. Learn about their history and heritage.

This poster is 24" x 11" (folded 12" x 11") and is printed on 100 lb. gloss text stock.

I agree that something like this should be shipped in a tube.

Odd to sell folded what they regard as suitable for framing, I agree.

These places that mount posters on foamcore board might be able to at least minimize the visibility of the fold.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if I read their advert wrong but it sure seems like they fold the poster. Shame really, when you think how particular with detail we are in our hobby. A creased display won't work for me.

Thanks guys,
Roger

I have one. If it was rolled I would have had it framed. Now I'll mount it on foamcore

Waiting for Conrail family tree or New York Central map.

Folded up or not I'll buy it to frame it.
