I would get a Walthers DCC ready N scale turntable.

Why? It is considerably more expensive and I know people who have bought the Walthers turntable and had a great deal of trouble setting up the DCC and indexing.

It's hard to have a warm fuzzy feeling about Walthers turntables, based on what has been posted in the forum.

I didn't know Bachmann made a turntable and at looks like they decide how many tracks you have.  There are many choices in Big Boys and not many in turntables.  I don't understand that.

Henry:

You are correct.  Almoxt all of the manufacturerers make versions of the Big Boys, but only four that I know of Kato, Atlas, Bachmann and Walthers make DCC ready turntables.

I don't understand the advantages of a "DCC Ready" tuntable.

I have used lots of turntables on various layouts, some motorized, some indexing, some cranked, some spun with a finger, all worked OK.

What advantage does DCC operation add?
