Hello, does anyone know where I can get a front truck for an ho athearn rubber band drive Rotary snowplow? I have the wheels, just need the truck. Thanks!
Maybe this will help.
This would be the parts, TRUCK SIDEFRAME R.H. #90555 and TRUCK SIDEFRAME L.H. #90554. or complete FRONT TRUCK ASSEMBLY #90408.
The two screws that hold the truck together are part #99000, 2-56 x 1/8''.
Yes, that certainly helps, thank you.
I'm going to pull a ''Fox Press'' truck out of a NIB, MDC/Roundhouse 26' Old time something or other shortly and compare in looks and action with Athearn's drum type axles and wheels.
Edit: My thought's were correct, the MDC/Roundhouse Fox Press truck is on the light side in build and looks. It is not even a ''all most, that's close enough for me" stand in.
If you power the fan with a small 12 volt gear motor you could put any truck on the Athearn Snow Blower.https://melvineperry.blogspot.com/2010/10/october-19-my-sp-snowplow.htmlMel My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

Hi Mel,
Your 'how to' on motorizing the Athearn snow blower is very interesting, but what I found to be more interesting is the fact that the page about the snow blower has had more than 400,000 hits!!!!! That's incredible!! That is a true testament to your modelling skills!

DaveThat count is for my entire Blog not that post. The Blogger Hit Counter hasn’t worked very well since it crashed several years ago. I estimate that the counts on my Blog is less than 70% accurate since the crash.I started my Blog mid 2009 and it had about 500K hits when Blogger crashed. I lost about half of my posts and the counter didn’t work for a long time and when it started to work it was terrible.I added a third party hit counter about a year after the crash and it is 90K off the Blogger counter. The addon counter says 380K and I don’t think it is accurate either. The Blogger Stats are neat but not very accurate.Mel My Model Railroad http://melvineperry.blogspot.com/ Bakersfield, California I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.
