mbinsewiSome that use Fire Fox don't get the white box to type a message in. Many things in this forum don't work the way they used to. We are all awaiting for an update, that we've been told will happen. Just remember to check your messages regularly, as that's the only way you'll know if you have one. The little message indicator hasn't worked for some time now. Good luck. Mike.

To go along with what Mike stated: I use Firefox for my browser and the work-around for posting a private message (PM) is to use Microsoft Edge, which should already come with your computer if you are a Win10 user. My "Messages" indicator also does not change to red when there is an awaiting PM so I just get used to checking it on a regular basis - e.g. when I first come onto the forum.
Hopefully, whenever the aging forum software is actually upgraded, these annoying quirks that have increasingly plagued it over the past several years will finally be resolved.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
jjoPlease tell me how it works and what I can do to make it better,,,Thank you all.
Click the person's name/avatar. When the page opens, look on the right side, you'll see: " Add as a Friend", "Start Conversation", and "Follow".
Click on "Start Conversation". A seperate white box opens up, fill in the subject line, then type your message in the bigger box below the subject line.
When your done, click on black box at the bottom that says "Start Conversation".
That's it, you've sent the person a message.

My You Tube
It's been flaky recently. I don't seem to get email alerts that new messages or comments have been posted. Neither do they appear in my usual browser when I'm at the forums online. I can read only in Firefox. I have to reply using Safari.
Nonetheless, so long as you take care to check in regularly to see if there are new messages, it does work.
