BayCoastLimited BRAKIE Yes, the F40PH comes DCC ready as per Walthers discription. Problem is i think this may be from an older run heres the item itself. The item description did not say if its DCC ready. It's not a big deal if it isnt, i just wanna see how much work and time i need to put in for DCC+Sound. Then again with this quarantine and stuff happening i think i'll have plenty of it...

You are correct. That is a older run and doesn't have the 21 pin DCC plug like the DCC ready version. I had to run the engine number down to double check.

Thats awesome news. Which ESU sound decoder should i look at for this locmotive?
It's built with the same style chassis as the Trainline FA2. There';s No 8 pin plug or any other sort, but the motor is isolated and the wires are very obvious where they go, it is extremely easy to hard wire a decoder in one of these.
