I'd like to model the Wilmington & Western railroad (Wilm, DE), and cannot find a Pullman steel open platform coach in any scale. The railroad uses coaches built in 1914, lot 4298, plan 2848. I'm an n-scale modeler, but will model this line w/HO or O if I can find the equipment. There are great photos of these coaches at www.wwrr.com.
I just joined this site/forum. I'm a retired combat paratrooper (82d Airborne), living near Gettysburg, PA. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated...
to the forum and thank you for your service. You live in a beautiful part of the country and close to at least 2 good train stores. Initial posts are moderated and before stay at home, it could take a couple days before we would see your post and it appeared back in time, so no one would see it. Steve Otte is moderating left and right these days.
I rode the WWRR when they had oil fired steam engines. I think they might be down for maintenance. They also lost some trackwork from floods since I rode.
Open platform cars I see on ebay are earlier than what you want. We have a lot of knowledgeable people here, so you might get an answer.
As a Marylander, in grade school I went to Gettysburg at least twice. It was only later, when I saw the Eisenhower farm that I realized it is a national attraction. It should be on every American's bucket list.

Those were originally built for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western as commuter coaches- they are known colloquially as "Boonton Cars". You might find a kit under that search term, and I think the second volume of Thomas Taber's book "The DL&W in the Twentieth Century" may have plans, if you can't find a kit.

to the forums, and thank you very much for your service. Looking at the photos on that site, I can see the appeal of modeling that line. Have you tried a site like ebay or Trainz.com? If not, I'd try both sites and just type in something like "n scale open platform Pullman coach", or just "n scale Pullman coach". I tried it on ebay with ho scale, and all kinds of Pullman coaches are listed. I hope this helps. Good luck!
You should check with Funaro & Camarlengo. They used to offer a Boonton coach kit, but it doesn't seem to be available on their website:

They may have a suggestion about when/if it will again be available, or where you might find it.
