Just glancing at the results, it looks like BLI won quite a few first place votes. I don't have anything from them, but I will have to look at some things.

Yeah, I found the limitations in choices to be stacked in favor of products.
I have a BLI SW7 with DCC/Sound and it's a overall ok engine and the 567A sounds seems right but the single "blat" and chime horns has a annoying echo.
Now and IMHO the older Life Like Proto 2K and Walthers P2K EMD switchers has better details.
