I have tired 3 or 4 different liquid plastic cements Tenx7,Ployscale, Ambroid and Testors, none them seem to create a bond. Am I dealing with Delrin with this kit?
I have two Tiger Valley Model C420, they do run (DC) only. They both have brass wheel sets. Dose anyone know if you can swap them for NWSL nickel silver wheel sets?
RR_Mel Loctite Plastics Bonder works on all PP5 plastics and Delrin. It’s the Activator that makes the glue hold, regular CA works after using the Activator. Been using it for about two years with no problems. The .14oz Activator out lasts the Loctite .07oz glue. I usually get 8oz of AC to a single Lotite Activator. The only parts of the American Limited diaphragms which require cement is to attach the outer bellows to the striker plate, as per the instructions, and the part which attaches to the car's end doorframes, and that part is also styrene. I use ordinary MEK, and it works fine. The springs are Delrin, but don't require cement for installation, as they're a press-fit.
If you're attaching the diaphragms to a painted car, use sandpaper to remove the paint from the face of car's end doorframes.
As for the question in your signature (I wondered why it wasn't included in the quoted part of your post), contact NWSL, as I'm sure they'll have what you need.

I have only installed these on Stewart/Kato undecorated F units. My old stand by Testors Liquid Cement For Plastic Models worked just fine.
To test if a cement will work, try gluing two pieces of the sprue together. If your glue bonds the sprue, it should also work on the pieces.
