Hi, I've had stuggles with posting photos before in the past, but I'd like to learn. I've tried shutterfly (Wasn't compatible with CTT/MRR) I've tried Flicker (Again wasn't compatible with Model Railroader, I'm really wanting to post photos of progressions in Hobbying Sessions and such... I'm just very, very confused any help would be well recived
https://imgbb.com/ seems to be the simplest of them all, and provides both HTML and BBcode links to full size and thumbnails of the uploaded image.

I use Flickr so not sure why you can not. When you look at your photo there, click the Share arrow and copy the BBCode and paste it in your post, enter return to add a space below the link and it should work.

BTW, there is a spot to experiment on the forums. It is the Forum Testing category at trains.com forum. You can experiment there. Do read the sticky in the MR General Discussion forum first.

I have a Flicker account I used when Photobucket was down, and you do just what Paul says.
What I'm NOT sure of, do you still use the photo box link? or do you do it directly into your post?

I have my own web site, and just upload all my pictures there for posting here. Never any issues with that, there is a valid URL and the images are almost all .jpg files, so it's a simple matter to post them here. Plus no one can change their terms of service and hold me hostage. I've had the web site for nearly 20 years now, and pictures I posted in threads from way back then are still appearing. Costs me a whole $2.50/mo, and I actually have 3 domains hosted for that price.
Maybe now that I am ready to start building my layout, I will update my web site, the last update is like 8 years old.

I just paste the BBCode into the post at an emply line and hit return.
Yep, OK! I couldn't remember.
I am still using IMGUR. I have over 1,500 pictures there now.

I have my own website, the link is in my signature.
I use Bluehost for my site. It costs a few dollars a year, but I've never had a problem. All the photos I post are part of my website. They are all stored on their servers and on my computer and back-up drives.
I had "Intergate" a dial-up, for years prior to Bluehost. For whatever reason they simply closed up shop on me with no explanation. Thus the move to Bluehost.

I dropped photobucket like it was a too-hot spud several years back, and since then have continued to use an account I already had at the time at trainboard. It's railimages.com.
If you create a google docs document in your google drive and then insert the pictures you want there, you can copy and paste then directly to your posts and it works splendidly.
I forgot to mention. Its free.
I'm beginning to realize that Windows 10 and sound decoders have a lot in common. There are so many things you have to change in order to get them to work the way you want.

As did many of us. Apparently that's what PB wanted ... to get rid of lots of their, as they saw it, dead weight accounts.

I stuck with PB. The current "plan" I'm on is less than $20 a year. No ads, BUT, anybody that clicks on my picture, I think will get ads. We'll see what happens in the future.
I also have a Flickr account I have been using, when PB went down. I have been adding pictures to it, just in case.
