What is Allen McCelland doing these days? I have been a big fan of the V&O from the first pictures back in the mid 60's,but not much in the "press" about him or the railroad. I have the book and the Keller tape on the V&O. I had read that he had moved to a new home and a part of the railroad was to be in NMRA new headquarters. Any body know the "skinny"?

He's building a new version of the V&O. There was an article on it in the January, 2004, issue of MR on starting on page 108.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

He's always been my modelling hero[bow] I've bought the book of his old layout and warn the thing out. The pics in the mag article of his new layout look like it's going to be even better if possible. I wish I had a third of his talent, long live Allen McCelland![bow][bow] TB
