Hello. I am new to the discussion groups. I hope someone can help me. I recently picked up a Polar Lights "old victorian" model kit #POL969/12. Apparently this is a re-release of and old Addams Family haunted house kit. My kit comes with some ghosts and activating rods but there is no instructions as to how to make the work or how to connect them. Does anyone who has built this kit, still have these instructions or does anyone know how this works?
I appreciate any help or directions you can give.
Contact the manufacturer. While getting replacement parts is hit-or-miss, many have computer files containing instructions. I've been delighted to contact Walthers for exactly that, and I got a PDF of the instructions in my email the very same day.

I think Polar Lights is long gone. I recall discussions on these Forums about a decade or more ago about their model of the Bates Mansion from the movie Psycho, and even then Polar Lights was out of business as I recall. They seem to have also made the house from The Munsters.

Maybe check out HOseeker.net. By the way, welcome to the forums.
https://hoseeker.net/ Click on Literature, and see what you can find.

I didn't see it on HOseeker. There are people selling Polar Lights haunted house kits, that you can find easily on google. The ones on Ebay don't mention animation. Maybe a sympathetic seller would send you a copy of the instructions.

was it a sealed kit?
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel
An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel
A realist sees a frieght train
An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space
good news. Model train stuff has the release you speak of. I dont see any ghosts in the picture. They might have been somebody planning to do something then scrapping the idea. But at least you can call them and maybe get the directions or at least some direction on where to find them.
If the ghosts are an extra somebody added., then some creative use of tortus motors or stepper motors and linkage to make it unique.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Yes, this was a sealed kit. Bought from Walthers through my local hobby shop (support the little guy). There is a reference to round2models on the box. The ghosts and rods are attached to the sprues, so I am guessing this was part of the origional design. I am going to wing it and scratchbuild what I can when I get to that part.
