The only small cube camera with WiFi is the SQ13.

That's the reason it is slighty larger is to make room for the WiFi.

Thanks!  I am going to make an exact scale mockup of the camera's measurements and run it through the layout.

I not worried about the height (the tunnels were made so that double high intermodal cars fit through the tunnels), but it's the width.  I have several bridges and tunnel entrances that may be tight.

I noticed there is a camera called sq11, which is narrower.  However, I don't know the limitations or quality.

This is what the SQ13 camera would look like on an N scale flatcar.

SHIGEMON - a Japanese Youtuber, has mounted a Sony camcorder on an N scale flatcar - see the following video.

Change the settings to get English subtitles.

I just ordered a Quelima SQ13 camera that measures L1.18 x W1.1 x H0.98 inches. It will go in my HO Bachmann depressed center flatcar replacing the SQ7 in the picture below.

If the width of 1.1” will clear your N scale stuff the resolution is pretty good (1080P record, 640 x 480 AVI).  It has an onboard battery, slot for SD card and also does WiFi (2.4GHz) for live video (view finder).

Make sure it is a Quelima and not Unbranded (clone).

There are quite a few YouTube Video Reviews (SQ13) with video clips but not on model railroading.

N Scale Train Camera
Posted by York1 on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 10:59 AM

Since I've read the HO sized track camera thread, I'm interested in any kind of N Scale track camera.  I realize there would not be live pictures, but some kind of recording to download to a laptop.

Does anyone know of any camera that would fit on an N Scale flat car, and that would not cost a lot of money?  Anyone have one with a video we could see?  I checked Youtube, and there were several videos, but they weren't too good.
