Welcome to the forum. This question will get more response over on the Classic Toy Trains forum, where Lionel is more of the focus.

As far as I know Lionel has made no provision for center rail insulation. This is, in my opinion, one of the many weaknesses of the Fastrack system. Perhaps the easiest way to deal with this shortcoming is to cut the center rail in the middle of a section. Pin removal with Fastrack is a major pain.

Before committing to Fastrack, check prices and component availability. You may change your mind.

Good luck.

Isolated blocks w/ Lionel Fastrack?

Any way to build isolated blocks with Lionel Fastrack? I'm new at this and thinking of building my first layout. Are blocks possible w/ Fastrack?
Thanks!
