Any real news on the disposition of MDC?

Their website has no link to the Horizon site. I see they are offering 4 packs and that's about all I have come across. I know MDC was combined with Athearn. What about the steam loco kits. I would hate to see them go!

The MDC brand name is going to become the kit version of Athearn products and Athearn itself will all be ready-to-run, according to a new release by Athearn last month. The MDC brand name will still be used. Right now. Athearn is still sorting through several pallets of MDC products that were shipped to them from Nevada, and are unpacking and installing the Roundhouse tooling and dies into Athearn's factory.
