I see that MTH has required QSI to remove the cruse control from its DCC as MTH says they have a patent on the 1 mph increments that QSI was using.
My question is this.
I have 3 Ford full size vehicles and all have cruise control. 1996,1997,1998.
Each time I hit the accel button it will advance the speed 1 mph, and each time I hit the decel it will lower the speed 1 mph.
Why doesn;t MTH sue ford for using this same technology, or is MTH playing mind games with Broadway LTD.
One exception I suppose could be MTH has limited their patent to model trains.
But if so, why can;t the other mfgs of DCC have their cruise control go up in 3/4 mph increments or 1.25 mph increments. Anything but 1 mph and does the actual system that MTH uses do an exact scale 1 mph increment.
The entire thing sounds so stupid and so easy to fix by just changing the increment.
I guess many things in life just do not make sense and this is one of them, in my opinion.

Nothing that MTH has said or done in the last couple of years has made much real sence you could go on and on ad nauseum bottom line they don't want toplar on the same tracks as the rest of us so thre isn't much sence trying to make them. They may end up suing you. TB
